The Senior Musical Theatre class at the Richard Green Academy in Hull, based at the newly reformed Silhouette Club on Park Street, are to stage a production of the classic musical Fame at Hull Truck Theatre.

It’s a contemporary revival which addresses the issues that are seen in today’s society. Director and Choreographer, Michael Stothard, has taken time and passion to produce routines and numbers that allow the cast’s talent to shine through.

Fame follows two years of successful Richard Green Academy productions at Hull Truck Theatre: Les Miserables in 2014 and Miss Saigon in 2013. Students at the Richard Green Academy have worked just as hard on the upcoming production and it promises to be a feel good night out for all the family.

Fame tells the story of several students who attend the High School of Performing Arts (PA) –  among them fame-obsessed Carmen, ambitious actress Serena, wisecracking comedian Joe, quiet violinist Schlomo, and talented dancer Tyrone.

Since its first production, Fame has had hundreds of professional and amateur productions in every major language.
