Hull Kingston Rovers have announced plans to celebrate the success of Hull being named UK City of Culture 2017  at the KC Lightstream Stadium on Friday, 27 March, when they go head to head in their match against St Helen’s.

It’s all part of plans to celebrate the success of Hull being named UK City of Culture 2017 in front of a national audience at the game when the Robins will play their part in telling the world what the city has to offer.

Popular tribute act The Beautiful Couch will headline the match day entertainment by performing some classic Housemartins hits live on the pitch before kick-off, whilst local band The Lamms will also be joining to perform to home and away fans in the concourse of the Colin Hutton Stand before and after the game.

Hull Daily Mail Junior Starsearch winner, Emmie Craft, who recently supported X Factor’s Union J, has also been added to the line-up whilst other activities on the night include a show-stopping performance from the Hull KR dancers.

The club are still looking for performers of any type who can contribute to the match day experience, whether you are a busker, street performer or have a special talent you’d like to perform. If you are interested in taking part, please email matchday@hullkr.co.uk.

Tickets for the match are on sale now at the Rovers Retail store in Savile Street, Hull city centre, or online at www.hullkr.co.uk/tickets. Supporters are reminded they will save £2 on the cost of their ticket when purchasing in advance, compared with match day prices.
