KC has continued its support of Hull KR and the local community by teaming up with the club on a new venture to kit out the next generation of Rovers’ fans.

The main sponsor of the KC Lightstream Stadium, KC has funded the cost of 500 scarves that will be distributed to Junior Robins members free of charge.

Recently introduced for next season, the Junior Robins scheme offers young fans a host of benefits such as invitations to exclusive events, the chance to be a match day mascot and a whopping 50 per cent off the cost of a 2015 season membership when they sign up.

The scarves, which would normally retail at £12, are a new addition and were unveiled in the family area of the Colin Hutton Stand by Rovers’ stars of the future Connor Robinson and Macauley Hallett, along with nine-year-old Junior Robin Laura Cooper and KC’s Community Coordinator Brendon Smurthwaite.

Speaking to www.hullkr.co.uk, Brendon said:

“Attracting the fans of the future is important for any professional sports club. The Junior Robins is a great way for Hull KR to engage with their younger supporters and we’re delighted to be supporting this initiative.”

Featuring the club’s traditional red and white colours, the scarves are just the latest reward for supporters who become a Junior Robin and will be given to the first 500 junior (aged 5-11) and youth supporters (aged 12-16) who join the scheme.

With over 300 Junior Robins members already eligible for a free scarf when they collect their 2015 membership card, the remaining 200 scarves are now available on a first come, first served basis to those yet to sign up.

Hull KR’s marketing manager Craig Franklin added: “We’re at the start of a really exciting journey for the Junior Robins with some more new ideas yet to be announced for our younger fans.

“It’s really important that we look after this generation of supporters, they are the future of the club and I’d like to thank KC for their generous contribution.

“We have been delighted with the uptake of Junior Robins membership so far and we’re hopeful of getting to 1,000 members before the start of the season, which would be a fantastic achievement.”
