Children at Highlands Primary School enjoyed a fun day learning about science, engineering and technology recently as part of a ‘Big Bang’ event hosted by Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA).

KC was among several local businesses who supported the day with over 150 pupils given the opportunity to take part in a fun activity which simulates how the internet works.

Brendon Smurthwaite, KC’s Community Coordinator, said:

“The children at Highlands Primary really seemed to enjoy learning how the internet works in an interactive way and the feedback we received from children and teachers alike was that they found it both fun and educational.

“The volunteers that took part from across our business enjoyed delivering the workshop and are looking forward to taking the activity to more schools during the coming months.”
