Last October saw the first ever T2 Talks, hosted by local company Trans2 Performance amongst sharks, stingrays and countless fish at The Deep. The event sold out and had a substantial reserves list, so CEO Martin Johnson has decided to transfer the second instalment to Hull Truck Theatre’s main auditorium, which can seat over 400 guests.

Taking place on Wednesday 16th March 2016, the mission of T2 Talks is to empower its audience to drive progressive change within their career and their lives. The content is thought-provoking, specifically designed to be digestible, and easy to put into effect immediately. From improving the way your business operates, to getting the perfect job or changing the way you achieve any kind of goal, the guest speakers aim to educate, motivate and inspire from start to finish.

We spoke to Trans2 Performance CEO Martin Johnson, who gave us a little more information: “We don’t like turning people away and our belief is that anyone who wants to benefit from T2 Talks should get the opportunity to do so. Hull Truck Theatre can comfortably host a larger and more dynamic evening, with plenty of space left for networking afterwards over a drink.”

This season’s T2 Talks will be delivered by guest speakers, providing advice, practical tips and real-life stories of triumph from the business, military and sporting worlds. The speakers include former Royal Marines Commando, Paul Vice MC; former Leeds Rhinos and England Rugby League International, Jamie Peacock (MBE); and Lucy O’Connor, a five-time national boxing champion who is now a commentator and analyst for the BBC.

“It really is going to be a fantastic evening,” added Martin. “We can’t wait to see people mingling in creative and forward-thinking surroundings.”

Below is Martin’s own talk from last year, promoting the importance of social excellence and how it can revolutionise communications and professional relationships. If you want to learn more, you can now book seats at March’s event directly from the Hull Truck Theatre box office. Tickets are £40 each and available by calling 01482 323638 or visiting www.hulltruck.co.uk.
