BED Boutique has been selling beautiful clothes on Newland Avenue for the last twelve years.

Stocking sizes 8-14, BED attracts ladies of all ages, from mums and their daughters to even a few grandmothers. The rails are full of pretty embroidery, summer vibes and on-trend pieces.

In this feature, owner Deborah Fletcher shares some of her best styling tips for the new season.

Outfit 1

“This outfit [above] is really on trend,” says Deborah. “The embroidered white shirt teamed with the denim skirt is perfect for a spring/summer vibe. Whilst the collar keeps it smart.”

Embroidered denim is a popular look for spring/summer 2017, so expect to see more of these designs across the high street, as well as in independent boutiques.

Outfit 2

“Add a jacket and some wellies and this outfit would be great at festivals.”

Outfit 3

The next outfit is a daytime holiday look:

“The yellow accents of the dress are brought out by the mustard leather bag and mules,” Deborah enthuses. “This gives a very boho vibe.”

Outfit 4

“Here we have another embroidered piece,.”

“This time it’s more formal,” Deborah points out. “I could imagine popping this dress on for drinks with the girls. I just love the wildflower detailing.”

Outfit 5

Next up is this gorgeous sleeveless, denim-embroidered playsuit.

“This is very summery. Whilst you may think it’s quite early, festival season will soon be upon us,” says Deborah. “Add a white shirt or jacket during these transitional months.”

The unusual choker gives this outfit a laid back twist.

Outfit 6

“A smart jumpsuit would be an incredible choice for Bank Holiday weekend,” says Deborah. “It’s really flattering and pretty.”

The black floral outfit is a brilliant choice if you need something to wear from day to night.

Jumpsuit: £34

Outfit 7

“A jumpsuit like this is very versatile,” explains Deborah.

Whilst the culotte-style trouser of this outfit is ideal for those who are conscious of their legs, the cold shoulder cut allows you to still show off a little bit of skin.

“The navy floral pattern makes it a beautiful choice for weddings, whilst you could also get away with it dressed down.”

Jumpsuit: £38 / Bag: £21

Outfit 8

“Again, the cold shoulder is a key cut for this season,” Deborah continues.

“This swing dress hides any lumps and bumps that you might not want on show.”

A darker floral is a great choice for a summer evening and the choker gives the outfit a bit of edge.

Outfit 9

Last but not least, we have this one-piece shift dress in muted pink:

“The white shirt underlay gives the slip dress a different feel,” says Deborah. “Pop into the shop to find out more.”
