Beverley Minster is hosting the second Prince’s Trust gala in the Humber and Yorkshire region.

This summer’s Humber Futures event will again raise money to help underprivileged youngsters in the area.

Attendees on June 19 will enjoy a special champagne reception, a three-course dinner plus an auction.

Paul Rose, the Trust’s development committee chairman for the region, said that with over one-fifth of young people in the area struggling to find a job, the Prince’s Trust is more important than ever.

Three-quarters of youngsters backed by the Prince’s Trust progress to find a job, training or further education, according to statistics.

The event runs between 7pm and 11.30pm with tickets costing £900 for each 10-seater table.

Last year’s inaugural gala, which attracted over 150 guests, raised £22,000, which went towards supporting nearly 5,000 Humber and Yorkshire youngsters, equipping them with the confidence and expertise they needed to make it in the workplace.
