A specialist personal injury solicitor has moved across Hull to join the established team at Bridge McFarland.

James Burrell, who is Hull born and bred, arrives at the firm from Hudgell Solicitors having worked in personal injury for 10 years.

James specialises in high value personal injury cases, often in excess of £1 million. His work includes cases involving brain injury, amputation, complex regional pain syndrome, paralysis, spinal cord injury, injury at birth, serious orthopaedic injury and significant psychological disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder.

James entered the legal profession after gaining his degree at the University of Hull and then securing a postgraduate diploma at the College of Law in York. He has worked in Hull and the wider East Yorkshire area since 2005, and part of the team at Hudgells since 2014

James said: “Bridge McFarland has been regarded for many years as one of the leading firms in this region undertaking personal injury work. I am delighted to have the opportunity to join such a successful practice and I look forward to helping them assist clients on both sides of the Humber.”

Bridge McFarland has offices throughout the Humber and Lincolnshire regions and was the highest-ranked Hull firm for personal injury claimant work in the recent Legal 500 report. The practice was also the highest-ranked firm in Grimsby in the joint category of personal injury and clinical negligence work.
