Hull City boss Steve Bruce has agreed a contract extension at the KC Stadium.

The 54-year-old, who has guided the club to promotion from the Championship and an FA Cup final during his two and a half years at the helm, is pleased his future is finally sorted after lengthy talks over a new deal.

He will continue on a rolling contract as he tries to keep the Tigers in the Premier League. They currently sit 15th in the table, hovering five points above the relegation places with 10 games remaining.

Bruce, whose previous deal was up at the end of the current campaign, says his new contract suits all parties.

He has set his sights on a strong end to the season – and hopes some of the club’s senior players will follow him in extending their deals and commit themselves to the KC Stadium for the foreseeable future.

Hull are bidding to retain their top-flight status for the second successive season for the first time in their history, having comfortably avoided the drop last time out.
