Agricultural merchants in an East Riding village have suffered a high-value break-in.

Police believe it would have taken a long time to burgle the premises overnight between Wednesday (January 26) and Thursday (January 27) and are looking for potential witness who might have seen or heard something to come forward.

A large quantity of items, including machinery and fuel, were taken from the Daisy Hill Road, Burstwick site, near Hedon.

A lorry-washing jet wash, leaf blower and fuel level receiver were all stolen, along with 3 grease guns, a pneumatic pallet trolley, pump for inflating tyres, 50m electrical extension cable, electric-powered submersible pump and hand moisture analyser were also thieved.

In addition, the burglars stole red diesel from commercial lorries and a storage tank before driving off across the fields northwards towards Humbleton.

Police want to hear from anyone who knows anything surrounding this burglary.

They can ring 0800 555111 without having to give their name or call 101 and quote the 2165397 reference number.
