A Goole man and a Hull woman are among the rising British death toll in the Tunisia attack.

A gunman with links to Islamic State extremists opened fire on a beach near Sousse on Friday, killing 38 people.

The Foreign Office has confirmed that 15 Britons died following the attack. This figure is expected to rise above 30.

While none of the dead have been officially identified, the names of some were confirmed by family and friends.

Bruce Wilkinson, 72, a retired power station worker from Goole, was one of the victims. He has been described as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Claire Windass, 54, from Hull, was another. She had been on the beach with her husband, who survived.

Prime Minister said Britain is “united in shock and grief”. He vowed the nation would show “unshakeable resolve” in dealing with extremism, plus stressed the need to reject those who condone the “extremist narrative”.

A number of British tourists remain missing following the attack.
