It’s that time again when everyone is talking about how they’ll be welcoming in the New Year.

Still stuck on how to say goodbye to 2017? If you’re in Hull, you’re in the right place for celebrations.

Taste something new at Fruit

The iconic venue on Humber Street always puts on a great New Year’s Eve bash and this year is no exception.

Alongside their extensive list of over 100 craft beers, Fruit is promising special guest kegs from Northern Monk, Wylam and Evil Twin, just to name a few. As for the entertainment, to warm you up throughout the day, John Copley and Dan Mawer present an acoustic set.

Later on, Hull singer-songwriter Jack Conman is joined by the soulful Elwhaeko and talented Tim Mellins.

Rock the night away at Kardomah94

This year, Kardomah94 has become a prime venue for Hull City Centre. To start 2018 in style, head over to the cafe-club to enjoy some of Yorkshire’s best rock and blues artists.

CubaDrive, Loudhailer Electric Company and The Steve Fulsham Band are set to play, along with Let Man Loose, Rivers Johansson and The Deemed Unrighteous.

Join the circus at Funktion

Incredibly, the old Tower club, now known as Funktion, will play host to an enchanting circus on New Year’s Eve. Combining themes of the paranormal with a festival vibe, the immersive Foreverland promises to bring in the New Year with a bang.

Expect a whole range of theatrical displays, circus performers and DJs alongside giant inflatables, an adult playground and confetti cannons.

Hop aboard P&O Ferries

Don’t fancy being in the city when the clock strikes midnight? Spend the night on board a ship in one of Hull’s ports!

This fantastic evening is headlined by the country’s most in-demand party band the Tzars. Meanwhile, you can bop along to some much-loved pop classics with tribute act Katy Ellis and enjoy the magic of Motown in the sky lounge with Soul Kinda Wonderful.

On top of all this, dine in style with champagne and canapes on arrival, a delicious three-course dinner and a Full English breakfast, plus tea and coffee brought to your cabin in the morning.

Dive into 2018 at The Deep

New Year’s Eve isn’t all about staying up past midnight. For families with younger children, Finderella (pictured) is the perfect way to join in the fun.

This pantomime-with-a-twist follows Finderella after she returns home from the prince’s ball. The performances take place at 11:30am and 3:30pm each day until Sunday 7 January. Tickets are included in the aquarium’s standard entry price.

Whatever you get up to on the 31st, we hope you have a marvellous evening – see you on the other side!
