The latest series of Britain’s Got Talent started on Saturday, and local singer Calum Scott completely stole the show with his version of ‘Dancing On My Own’ by Robyn.

The 26 year old received a standing ovation and was catapulted straight into the live shows when Simon Cowell pressed the golden buzzer to secure his place. Emotions were high as Calum’s sister, Jade Scott, auditioned just moments before Calum and was unfortunately turned down by the judges.

The Ruby Reds, a group of lovely ladies from Withernsea also impressed the judges with their cheeky burlesque routine and received a yes from all four of the judges taking them through to the next round.

Could the winner of Britain’s Got Talent be from East Yorkshire this year? We have our fingers crossed for Calum and The Ruby Reds!
