Essential road repairs will result in a series of road closures across Hull this weekend.

Motorists, pedestrians and residents are being warned to take note and adjust their plans accordingly.

The works on Spring Bank West will run from 7.30am on Saturday until 10.30pm on Sunday. Bus services will not be in operation for the duration, while other road users should follow diversion routes to get from A to B.

Phase one involves the closure of the westbound carriageway between Alliance Avenue and Albert Avenue from 7.30am until 2pm on Saturday, followed by phase two which will see the closure of the eastbound carriageway between Alliance Avenue and Albert Avenue from 2pm until 10.30pm later that day.

For phase three, meanwhile, the same carriageway will be closed beneath the railway bridge from Woodgate Road to the start of the dual carriageway, both sides, and the westbound carriageway between Albert Avenue and Pulman Street. This will take place from 8.30am until 10.30pm on Sunday.

The junction of Albert Avenue with Spring Bank West will be also closed from 12pm.

Hull City Council has apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused.
