As Steve Bruce gets his squad together for today’s match against Southampton, the team are also preparing to observe a minutes silence before kick off.

The club are inviting all supporters to join them in remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Joining the supporters will be members of The Royal British Legion who are holding a collection around the stadium.

Officials at the KC have chosen the Southampton game for the ceremony as it’s the closets home game to Remembrance Sunday on 9th November. City face Burnley away next Saturday.

In a statement on their website the team said “We will be remembering and honouring all of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, those who have served in the past and those who continue to fight today to maintain our freedom.”

The arrangements are that the team will emerge from the tunnel early as the last post is sounded and fans around the ground are invited to observe the minutes silence.
