The owner of a coffee shop is planning to roll out his business across East Yorkshire after the sweeping success of his first branch in Hull.

Daniel Moxon has been serving up food and drinks at Deli No. 1 at The Pod in St Andrew’s Quay since its grand opening last year.

And after taking the city’s coffee lovers by storm, he has now announced plans to open a new branch in Beverley this October, while he is also bidding to open another one in Hull city centre.

Mr Moxon has already invested around £11,500 in a top-of-the-range coffee machine to help grow his brand, which he sees as more premium than some of his competitors.

He says that the popularity of instant coffee, as well as the success of big high-street chains like Starbucks and Costa Coffee, have all helped his business to flourish.
