A Hull man has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of his older brother in Bransholme on August 25.

Kane Pidd, aged 23, of Grosvenor Street, is alleged to have stabbed his brother Kieron in the back on a grassy area in Tenterden Close, Bransholme.

Kieron, aged 25, was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary after the attack, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

He was treated in intensive care before being transferred to Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham to recuperate.

Kane has also pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon, a kitchen knife, in a public area.

Kane will stand trial on February 11 next year at Hull Crown Court, where his plea was heard yesterday.

The trial is expected to last around three days.
