Two tenants in Hull have been evicted for a series of offences including bypassing electricity and rent arrears.

The first tenant, Ashley Borrill, was evicted from a his home on Falkland Road last month for offences of cultivating and being concerned in the supply of cannabis, noise nuisance, bypassing electricity and rent arrears.

Meanwhile Hull City Council evicted Lee Daniels from a house on Mirfield Grove after he was found to be bypassing electricity.

He was also in rent arrears and when the council’s Neighbourhood Nuisance and Housing Officers visited the property drugs paraphernalia were found.

The council said all the offences were a clear breach of the tenancy agreement.

Councillor John Hewitt, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities, said the two cases should act as an example of what can happen if tenancy agreements are not adhered to.
