Employees at Hull Trains have raised over £400 for Dove House Hospice through their fundraising efforts over the Christmas period.

The rail operator turned their sights internally on Christmas Eve to add another dimension to wearing their Christmas jumpers. Employees were ‘charged’ for the privilege, with all funds raised going to Dove House Hospice.

Caroline Thom, head of marketing at Hull Trains, said: “The care that Dove House gives to patients and their families is remarkable and we’re delighted to be able to give them our support.

“Our festive jumper day was a great way to get everyone in the mood for Christmas but most importantly, it was a real success and we raised a total of £423 for the charity.”

Jethro Shearring, fundraising coordinator at Dove House Hospice, said: “At Dove House Hospice we are totally reliant on the generosity of individuals, groups and companies such as Hull trains to deliver the vital support that is needed every single day of the year.

“The funds will go towards helping Dove House Hospice to continue to support our patients and their families during 2016.”
