Humberside Police officers continue to piece together the evidence surrounding Saturday’s shooting at St Andrew’s Quay in Hull.

Three people were arrested on Sunday night during police searches after a gun was fired at a car outside McDonald’s at the shopping centre on Saturday morning.

Two people inside the blue Volkswagen Golf were unhurt but the windows of the vehicle blown out by the bullets. Two men, who were arrested at the scene at the time, have now been released.

Humberside Police said the arrests on Sunday night are for “unrelated matters” and confirmed that a grey Volkswagen Golf and the person connected to the vehicle that were initially linked to the shooting have since been ruled out of the investigation.

Investigations are continuing, with officers looking at CCTV in and around the St Andrew’s Quay area.
