Local firms of all types and sizes are being urged to complete an online survey to help build a full picture of the digital economy in Hull and East Yorkshire.

KC has commissioned the in-depth research to establish the size, impact and growth potential of the digital economy locally. The study’s findings will also help identify how businesses in the region can operate more effectively by harnessing digital technology.

Alan Worthing, director of KC Business, said: “This is a very important piece of work and we’re keen to have the widest possible participation in the research.

“Technology plays a major role in the operations of most businesses, and we have an opportunity to gain an insight into what the region needs to do to capitalise on developments like KC’s roll-out of superfast fibre broadband.

“While we’ve had lots of responses from businesses of all sizes and from a range of sectors, to get the greatest benefit from the research we do still need more companies to take part.”

KC has commissioned Innovation Observatory, specialists in researching and analysing fast-moving technology markets, to conduct the research.

Businesses who complete the online survey will be entered into a draw to win one of 25 Ebuyer vouchers worth between £50 and £250.
