Man killed in Hessle collision

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision involving a man and a taxi in Hessle.

The incident on Woodfield Lane, close to the junction with Cliff Top Lane, is thought to have happened in the early hours of November 1.

Officers and ambulance crews were called to the scene around 1.54am but the man, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. He was hit by a black Mercedes Vito taxi.

Police have launched an investigation into the fatal collision. They would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the taxi in the Cliff Top Lane area around the time of the incident or anyone else with information.
