Man suffers broken eye socket in assault at Hull taxi rank

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault at Hull’s Paragon Street taxi rank, which left the victim with a broken eye socket.

The 31-year-old victim was getting into a cab with his partner at around 5:30 in the morning of Sunday April 5th, when he was pulled from the car by an unknown man.

The victim was punched in the face until he lost consciousness. He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The suspect is described as being a tanned white male in his early twenties, around 5’10” tall and athletic in build. He also has short dark hair and was wearing a blue t-shirt.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
