Hull bus passengers could hold the key to discovering the identity of a man who allegedly committed a sexual assault, police believe.

They are appealing for any witnesses who might have seen or know anything about a reported incident earlier this year on the Hull-to-North Bransholme No.10 bus.

The alleged incident happened on Friday night, January 29 at about 10.40pm. Police want to talk to the man in the photograph concerning the accusation.

Hull’s Paragon Interchange is reportedly where the alleged offender and victim got onto the bus.

The suspect is alleged to have got on the same seat as his female victim. She claims that he touched her in an intimate area before leaving at a New Cleveland Street stop.

The accused is said to have grey, short hair. He is about 6ft tall and roughly 58 years of age. He is believed to have drunk in the Anlaby Road-based Horners pub before boarding the bus.

Police urge anyone who knows anything to ring 101. They can quote a 2166234 incident reference number from January 29.
