Murder inquiry following Hull death

A murder investigation is underway after a man died following a disturbance in Hull.

Police were called to Albemarle Street at 11.30pm on Saturday, where the 25-year-old victim was found with serious injuries. He was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary by ambulance but died shortly afterwards.

A 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses who saw or heard any kind of disturbance in the street.

Detective Chief Inspector Wendy North, who is leading the murder investigation, confirmed two people are in custody and being questioned over the death.

Officers are in the area undertaking further enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 642, while calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The victim’s family is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
