The leadership of professional services company PwC’s Hull office is changing hands, it has been announced.

The company says outgoing office senior partner Richard Bunter will be succeeded by Ian Plunkett.

Mr Plunkett will help bring an international perspective to the Yorkshire & Humber region. He recently led PwC’s assurance team in Abu Dhabi and previously worked with clients from around the world in London for six years.

Ian says: “Our Humberside office has grown through the downturn and we have continued to invest in the market with a number of senior hires and record number of graduates recruited this year.

“It is also an exciting time for Humberside, with Hull being named City of Culture for 2017, the £15m investment in the Fruitmarket and Dry Dock to create a digital centre, as well as the development of the Enterprise Zone, are all putting the region on the map nationally and globally.”

He adds that he hopes to build on the success achieved by the office under Mr Bunter.

Mr Bunter says he believes Mr Plunkett’s international experience will help boost the growth of PwC’s Hull office.
