A police chase involving the Humberside force helicopter has led to the arrest of two people on suspicion of burglary in Holderness.

The incident took place after Humberside Police received a report of a burglary under way near Burton Pidsea on Tuesday.

After a pursuit through the A1033 and the A63, the vehicle was eventually stopped and a man was arrested. A woman was arrested later in Hull.

Ben Philip Barnes, 28, of Cottingham, and Jade Wharton, 35, of Hull, were charged with offences including burglary and handling stolen goods. Both were scheduled to appear before Hull and Holderness magistrates.

Property allegedly stolen from the Burton Pidsea property was later recovered.
