The biggest Hull Christmas parade ever will wind through the city centre from 11am on Sunday featuring stars from Disney’s Frozen alongside Santa himself.

The giant parade will begin outside Hull New Theatre and will be led by trawlerman-turned-author Mally Welburn in his own Christmas train with music from Beverley and District Pipe Band.

It will welcome Father Christmas to Hull for his six-week stay in the lead-up to the big event and an ice palace grotto in the centre of Princes Quay shopping centre will be his home.

The grotto will add an air of icy charm to the shopping centre after its design was inspired by Disney’s blockbuster film Frozen.

The main characters from the movie, Princesses Elsa and Anna as well as Olaf the Snowman, will take part in the parade, escorting Santa around Hull city centre.

The finale of the parade will see the ice-conjuring princess and her little sister lead Santa into his grotto of ice.
