Nostalgic pictures of Hull in days gone by are likely to jog a few local memories from next week.

Monday (October 5) sees the beginning of a new exhibition at the city’s with photographs submitted by Hull residents and artists.

Residents and artist came together recently to discuss the eras and locations which hold a place dear to their heart.

Following this, they set about turning these reminiscences into something more solid and current via the photography and art which will feature in the display.

Hull Lord Mayor Anita Harrison is to open the Time and Place exhibition, which finishes on Saturday, October 31.

Cllr Harrison described several of the images as “truly inspirational” and says Hull is very “pleased” to stage them.

She says that the diverse variety of pictures should strike a chord with attendees.

They range from the more personally significant photos to ones that are recognisable by many people across the city, Cllr Harrison added.
