Police are appealing for help following a theft at a historic country house in East Yorkshire.

Two glass bottles were stolen from displays at Burton Constable Hall between 9am on June 16 and 4pm on June 22.

One is a very distinctive red gold and silver painted Victorian scent bottle, approximately 10cm tall. The other is a clear hour-glass Victorian scent bottle with a silver top, approximately 10cm long.

Humberside Police would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of the bottles and those responsible for theft.

Burton Constable Hall is located 10 miles east of Hull city centre. The Elizabethan house has been the home of the Constable family since it was first built. It contains a number of displays that are open to the public.

Anyone with information can call Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting Crime Reference 2121230, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
