Humberside Police are telling women in Hull to stay alert after a number of alleged indecent assaults in the Beverley and Cottingham Road areas.

In each instance a man has approached women and allegedly tried to inappropriately touch them before running off.

None of the victims have been injured but have been shaken by the incidents.

The offender has been described as around 5′ 9″ tall with a slim build and a large nose. He was seen wearing a dark woollen hat with white stars on the front, dark coloured scarf over his face, long sleeved dark coloured jumper and dark coloured jogging bottoms. He did not speak English and had a deep voice in a foreign language.

Officers believe that the offender may live off Newland Avenue around Falmouth Street or Walgrave Street area.

Extra patrols are taking place in the area to reassure the public and enquiries are on-going to identify the man responsible. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the police.
