Scarves have been placed outside Princes Quay for homeless people to use to fight the effects of the winter weather.

Tied to the scarves are messages of hope and reassurance from Hull residents.

Andrew Smith, Hull Homeless Campaign Project leader, revealed the aim of the project is to increase awareness of the issues facing homeless people.

He said: “We’ve always got lots of crazy ideas in the pipeline, this one is purely an experiment really.

“The thing for us is to raise awareness and we’ve sort of set that as our campaign benchmark for 2016 to really highlight this problem and find some new and different ways of reaching the public.

“We’re completely self-funded, we rely on donations from the public. For volunteering the best way is to contact us via the Facebook page or Twitter.”

Just how pathetic can people be-scarfs for the homeless-just put the immigrants out on the streets and house the homeless who deserve a roof over their heads-is that simple logic,or am i missing something here?
