Hull City Supporters’ Trust chairman Geoff Bielby wants manager Steve Bruce to stay at the club.

Recent media reports have suggested that Bruce, who returned Hull to the Premier League courtesy of last Saturday’s Championship play-off final victory against Sheffield Wednesday, is considering his future and may choose to leave the Tigers.

Mr Bielby, however, believes he’s the best manager in the club’s history.

He said: “He’s promoted us twice to the Premier League, he’s got us to an FA Cup Final and he’s done that in extremely difficult circumstances this season. Let’s face it we had a very, very good squad of players this season and that’s thanks to the owners backing Steve.

“I hope he’ll stay, I’m sure he won’t walk away and sit on a beach for six months. He’s promoted a team that he’s spent a lot of time at, it’s four years, over 200 games now and he’s been successful here. Whether or not the owners will give him that opportunity will remain to be seen.”

I agree that Steve Bruce has been the best manager at the tigers but I feel that he has taken the club as far as he can and that a change is need to go that bit further. The team is boring to watch and is too defensive in attitude. I have been a supporte for over 55 years, and this is the most boring team that I have supported, even in defeat the team attacked were as now they only want to defend, pass back or across, very little attacking flair.
