One of Hull’s largest learning centres has officially opened on a former school site on Beverley Road.

The Endeavour Learning and Skills Centre, located on the site of Endeavour High School, offers education and training to young people and adults with a vast range of courses and apprenticeships.

Councillor Rosie Nicola, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for adult education, said: “Having a provision like this is something that will enable you to feel, I think, valued as a young adult developing skills, gaining qualifications, moving into the world of work.

“I’m really pleased that young people, hopefully, can come in here and make it their own. It’s not a school any longer, it’s for adults and it’s for adult learning.”

Councillor Sean Chaytor, Deputy Lord Mayor of Hull, added: “The Endeavour Learning and Skills Centre is a great facility and I am delighted to be asked to officially open it. As well as its fantastic learning facilities, it will also be a great asset for the local community.”
