Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to experience the thrills and spills of Hull Fair next month.

The travelling funfair, which is one of the largest in Europe, will take over Walton Street for eight days from Friday 9 October until Saturday 17 October, bringing adrenaline-pumping rides, great food and family entertainment to the city.

While the event always proves popular with local residents, it also attracts visitors from further afield. Organisers expect that around 400,000 people will attend the fair this year, in what will be its 737th visit to Hull.

The traditional big wheel will once again take pride of place at the heart of the fair, along with 150 exciting rides, from traditional favourites like waltzers and dodgems to modern additions such as the Skyswing, The Bomber and the Superspin.

There will also be 50 rides for children, including trampolines, fun houses, helter-skelters and mini versions of the teenage rides, plus new for this year are a Frozen-themed swing ride and a Dumbo-themed roundabout.
