A training course teaching people how to deal with an asthma attack has been launched by a Hull family.

Stacy Suddaby and partner Craig Salter have been raising awareness about the dangers of asthma since losing their 10-year-ld, Cameron Good.

Craig says the course is part of their next campaign: “Having the equipment in place in schools is the first step to securing life with regards to asthma attacks. The second steps will be then raising awareness and providing training for them, making sure that they’re not just taking their inhalers properly, particularly the reliever inhalers, but also at home when they’re taking their preventer inhalers.”

He says the course is a taster of what they hope to role out next year: “Initially it’ll be the school staff with regards to an emergency asthma attack, you’ll always have staff on hand. After this, we want to push it out to the kids. We want to be able to say, ‘Right, if your friend’s having an asthma attack, this is how you deal with it’.”
