Hull FC’s top try scorer for 2014/15 is leaving the club at the end of the season.

Winger Tom Lineham, 22, is joining Super League rivals Warrington Wolves for the start of the 2015/16 campaign on a four-year deal.

Lineham, whose 14 league appearances have so far yielded 15 tries this season, is seeing out his contract at FC before making the switch.

Hull are hoping to minimise the impact of Lineham’s move. The club has secured a fresh one-year contract extension for 20-year-old Curtis Naughton as well as reporting they are in negotiations with an outside back with international pedigree.

Full-back/winger Naughton impressed in his debut season at Hull before injury halted a run of five outings which brought four tries.

Lee Radford, FC’s head coach, said Naughton had been patient in awaiting his chance but has been a “terrific” player since breaking into the team.
