Woman attacked crossing road in Hull

An investigation has been launched after a woman was assaulted in Hull.

Police said the unprovoked attack is alleged to have taken place on Tuesday November 25 at around 4pm.

The 21-year-old woman was crossing a road when the attacker allegedly punched her at the roundabout of Daltry Street and Hessle Road.

The woman is said to have been very shaken by the incident, suffering facial injuries as a result of the attack.

An appeal has been made for anyone who saw the incident to get in contact with the police, who are hopeful that witnesses will come forward as the scene of the attack is a busy area.

Police said the suspect is non-white, of medium build and aged in his 20s. Anyone with information can contact police on the 101 number, quoting crime reference DV/2082792/2014, or by calling the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
