Beth Tweddle is being discharged from hospital following neck surgery.

The former Olympic gymnast fractured two vertebrae during a fall in training for Channel 4’s reality TV series ‘The Jump’ on February 6.

Tweddle posted a picture on Twitter showing her wearing a large neck brace, accompanied by the message: “Hi Everyone I just wanted to let you know the good news that I am being discharged from hospital today.”

Tweddle, a three-time world champion who won bronze at London 2012, has provided regular updates on her condition since suffering the injury.

She had surgery at a hospital in Austria, where a bone fragment from her hip was used, along with pins, to fuse together the two fractured vertebrae.

The 30-year-old posted a message on Saturday to say she had begun to walk unaided and was feeling “a lot better”.
