An unchanged England side won the toss and opted to bat in the third and final Test against the West Indies in Barbados.

England’s nine-wicket victory in Grenada means they lead the hosts 1-0 and need only a draw to secure their first series win overseas since they beat India in 2012.

Ben Stokes overcame a niggling back problem to retain his place in the side while Jonathan Trott was given another opportunity to make his mark at the top of England’s order, having made only one half-century in four innings so far.

Trott may draw confidence from the encouraging form of captain Alastair Cook, who has responded to criticism with consecutive fifties in the second Test.

The opening pair were thrust straight into the spotlight after Cook won the toss and elected to bat.
