Heather Knight succeeds Charlotte Edwards as England women’s captain

Heather Knight has been appointed as the new England women’s captain.

The 25-year-old steps up from the vice-captaincy position she held under Charlotte Edwards and will be assisted by Anya Shrubsole.

Knight’s first task will be to lead England in three-game one-day and Twenty20 series with Pakistan later this month.
