James shines on royal visit

‘King’ James put on a show for the visiting royalty as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Brooklyn Nets 110-88 in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

LeBron James had 18 points and seven assists as he directed Cleveland’s win, with Kevin Love scoring 19 and Dion Waiters bringing 26 off the bench.

William and Kate caught the final part of the game, taking their courtside seats with 7:14 remaining in the third quarter, just in time to see Cleveland pull clear to their seventh straight victory.

The Golden State Warriors made it 13 straight wins as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-86.

Stephen Curry struggled from long range, missing six-of-seven from three-point range, but managed to score 21 points regardless, and the Warriors had too much for the short-handed Timberwolves.

Blake Griffin hit a three-pointer on the buzzer as the Los Angeles Clippers snatched a 121-120 overtime win over the Phoenix Suns to remain three games back on Golden State.

The game-winning shot took Griffin to 45 points on the night.

The Atlanta Hawks’ win streak reached seven as they beat the Indiana Pacers 108-92.

Al Horford scored 25 points and Jeff Teague added 21.

The Toronto Raptors drew level late in regulation and went on to top the Denver Nuggets 112-107 after overtime to stay clear at the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

Kyle Lowry had 13 points and 13 assists while Jonas Valanciunas collected 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Lou Williams scored 26.

John Wall’s 26 points and 17 assists led the Washington Wizards to a 133-132 double overtime win over the Boston Celtics.

Paul Pierce added 28 points while Marcin Gortat had 21 and 12 rebounds, but Boston clawed back from a 23-point third-quarter deficit to take the game to overtime.

Rudy Gay’s 29 points led the Sacramento Kings to a 101-92 win over the Utah Jazz.
