Floyd Mayweather has promised to deliver an exciting performance in Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated super-fight with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

The two welterweight champions go toe to toe at the MGM Grand in three days’ time in the richest fight in boxing history and Mayweather has vowed to produce a performance worthy of such an occasion.

“It’s time to fight now,” Mayweather said at Wednesday night’s pre-fight press conference, broadcast on Sky Sports News.

“You guys came out here to see excitement, to see a great event and I think that’s what both competitors bring to the table – excitement.”

Saturday’s fight is expected to gross between £266million to £332million with Mayweather in line to earn £100million and Pacquiao in the region of £66million.

Mayweather, who has never been beaten in 47 fights since turning professional 19 years ago, went on to reveal his delight at being involved in the bout and insists he is in tip-top condition.

“(It is) the biggest fight in boxing history and I’m a part of it so that’s a great thing,” he added.

“I’m just truly, truly blessed to be where I’m at. I feel good, I feel strong and I’ll see you guys Saturday.”

Mayweather and Pacquiao are fighting for the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles and Pacquiao, who has lost five of his 64 bouts and is widely considered to be the underdog, is also determined to put on a show.

“I invite everyone to witness this Saturday a good fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao. It’s going to be a good fight,” he said.

“This fight on Saturday our goal is to give the fans enjoyment and satisfaction of our performance and entertain you guys so that you’ll be happy.

“Both of us, Floyd and I, have worked hard to entertain you on Saturday, to give a good fight on Saturday.

“I believe he will do his best on Saturday and I’m going to do my best to put our names in boxing history.”
