Andy Murray will have to wait until Monday to continue his bid for a first ever ATP tour-level title on clay as his final clash with Philipp Kohlschreiber in Munich was postponed due to rain.

Murray, who is the top seed in the tournament, will resume against fifth seed Kohlschreiber at 11am on Monday, organisers of the BMW Open announced.

After a lengthy rain delay the match got under way and went with serve, with home favourite Kohlschreiber leading 3-2, before the weather intervened again and caused play to be suspended.

Only 23 minutes had been possible before the interruption, with play then subsequently called off.
