The proportion of patients seen within four hours at A&E departments in England has failed to meet the target of 95% for the 30th week in a row.

NHS England said 94.3% of patients spent four hours or less from arrival to admission, transfer or discharge last week.

This was up from 93.3% the previous week.

The 95% target has not been met since the week ending September 28, but today’s figure represents the best performance since the week ending October 5, when 94.5% patients were seen within the timeframe.
