Former glamour model Katie Price has said she will not hold back if anyone insults her disabled son Harvey – and said she is “sure” she has kissed Calum Best as she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The star, who clashed with comic Frankie Boyle after he made a joke about her son who suffers from autism and life-threatening hormone deficiencies, was emotional when she entered the house wearing a gold fairytale princess costume and tiara.

Her arrival has been widely expected although she tried to cover up the plan by pretending she was jetting off on holiday, posting tweets showing herself on a plane with their husband Kieran Hayler and tweeting that he was about to run her a bath around two hours before she arrived at the famous house.

The 36-year-old mother of five, who married again in 2013, said she was joining the Channel 5 show because “there is always a price for the Pricey and the price was right”.

Speaking to host Emma Willis before she went in last night, Price said: “I am so nervous. I can’t stop crying, I don’t know why.”

The star said she had been watching the show and said she “must be absolutely mad” to be going in, adding that hopefully she will “calm it down a bit”.

In a VT beforehand, Price said she was known for keeping showbiz journalists busy and said she has been described in the past as both a “slapper” and a “surgery freak”.

Speaking about her new housemate Best, she said: “I’m sure I’ve kissed him.”

Price is a familiar face on reality television, having twice appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! and starred in a number of her own series about her life.

Price, who was criticised by fellow contestant Katie Hopkins about naming her daughter Bunny, said: “That doesn’t bother me, what she says about the name of my child, it’s like, ‘whatever’.

“But if they start picking on Harvey, like Frankie Boyle did, then that is a different kettle of fish. I don’t care what people say about me, but when it comes to kids who can’t defend themselves then I think it is cruel and wrong.”

The star, formerly known as Jordan, also revealed there would be doctors on-hand around the clock in case of complications following a recent breast reduction operation.

She said: “I had my boobs reduced. There is a doctor on standby the whole time to keep checking me, but other than that my banter is still there. I’ve been glued to the show it’s a great series.”

Meanwhile, former Page Three girl Chloe Goodman, 21, became the first housemate to be evicted after a public vote.

Asked if she was hurt that she was the first out, she said that it was “brutal”.

This year’s series has already caused controversy and two contestants – former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson and ex-Coronation Street actor Ken Morley – were removed from the show.

Morley repeatedly clashed with his housemates and was evicted for using “unacceptable language” including repeated use of the word “negro”.

Jackson was kicked off the show after Goodman claimed he drunkenly tried to look at her breasts while the pair were alone in the toilet.

He was given a police caution for common assault after the incident, which was not shown on screen.

Hundreds of viewers have complained to watchdog Ofcom about the pair’s behaviour, with the vast majority upset by Morley.
