Three men who were arrested three days before Remembrance Sunday have appeared in court over an alleged terror plot.

Nadir Ali Sayed, 21, from Hounslow, west London, Yousaf Shah Syed, 19, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and Haseeb Hamayoon, 27, from Hayes, west London, were held on November 6.

They appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today having been charged by Metropolitan Police.

The men, all wearing long grey tops, were remanded in custody following a 25-minute hearing and will appear at the Old Bailey on December 4.

There were no applications for bail.

It is said that “with the intention of committing acts of terrorism” they were “jointly engaged in conduct in preparation for giving effect to their intention, contrary to section 5(1) of the Terrorism Act 2006”.

A fourth man arrested in Uxbridge was released on November 15 with no further action.
