The Duke of Cambridge will join survivors and families of victims of the 7/7 London bombings next week to mark the 10th anniversary of the attacks, Kensington Palace said.

The memorial event on Tuesday afternoon has been organised by the families and survivors of the July 7 2005 bombings, and will take place at the permanent memorial in London’s Hyde Park.

On Wednesday, William and the Duchess of Cambridge will visit Wimbledon to watch some of the day’s quarter final matches on Centre Court.

The next day the Duke will visit the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, to accept the gift of a newly restored Supermarine Spitfire Mark I N3200 on behalf of the museum.

He will also watch an aerial display and tour the Battle of Britain exhibition.

He will then visit the Aircraft Restoration Company workshop where the classic aircraft was restored.

On Friday, William will join the Queen and other members of the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to view an RAF flypast to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

He will then join other royals for the 75th anniversary lunch at the RAF Club.

This will be attended by, among others, the six remaining RAF Battle of Britain pilots and the squadron commanders of Battle of Britain squadrons still serving in the RAF.

These engagements will follow the christening of Princess Charlotte on Sunday, before he starts his first full week of shifts as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance on July 13.
