What a good idea, to get our brains active by tackling a daily crossword puzzle. However, these Boatload puzzles are American and have lots of abbreviations and expressions which do not form part of our culture and which I, for one, do not understand. Also they are extremely repetitive: having completed seven or eight I now find that in every puzzle I have already encountered several of the clues previously. Editors, please can we have some good old English crossword puzzles?

    • Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback regarding the puzzles on HEYToday.

The puzzles were put on the site as a one-off during the week we were celebrating ‘unusual and unheard of events’. We didn’t know at the time they would be refreshed daily – I apologise that they’re full of American slang.

We have had lots of positive feedback regarding this kind of content on the site – it’s clearly something which people would like to see more of. The puzzles were originally planned as a test so thank you for your feedback as this will help us shape this kind of content in the future.
