HEYToday weekly web round up, bringing you our favourite things from the world wide web…

William Magee from Wirrall loves opening birthday cards so much, that his Mum, Kelly has gone on a campaign to get as many as she can for him.

William suffers with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; a terminal, muscle wasting condition. It’s one of the biggest genetic killers in the UK, with around 2,500 children affected. The illness causes muscles to weaken and waste over time, leading to increased disability. Sadly, this affects the heart and diaphragm causing them to fail – and can happen to children as young as 10.

On the 19 August, William will turn 6 years old. His Mum, Kelly wants to give him a birthday he’ll never forget this year and has set up the Save William Facebook Page¬†asking if anyone moved by William’s story would like to send him a birthday card to make his day extra special. The post has gone viral – and hundreds of people have already been in touch – with cards arriving from all over the world.
